Terms, Conditions and Customer Policy

Customer Policy

This policy describes the rights and obligations of Smart-Fix LLC and its customers. The document is based on the Law of Georgia on Consumer Rights Protection and the Civil Code of Georgia.

1 General Provisions

SMART-FIX is a provider and integrator of smart locks, video intercoms, security cameras, thermostats and related devices, and the official authorized service partner of ALTA and LOX in Georgia.

This policy applies to the Customer — an individual who purchases goods/services for personal (non-commercial) purposes. By placing an order, the customer confirms that they have read and agreed to this policy.

2 Definitions

  • Merchant — Smart-Fix LLC (ID 405 764 463).
  • Customer — an individual purchasing goods/services for personal use.
  • Goods — movable items (e.g. smart lock, camera, thermostat).
  • Service — installation, setup, configuration, technical service, system upgrade.
  • Distance Contract — concluded without physical presence (website, WhatsApp, phone).
  • Legal Warranty — mandatory free guarantee of conformity of goods.
  • Commercial Warranty — voluntary additional obligation.

3 Pre-contractual Information

Before conclusion of the contract we provide: main characteristics of goods/services; merchant identity and contact details; total price; payment, delivery and performance terms; withdrawal rights; information on legal and commercial warranty.

4 Order & Contract

Orders can be placed via website, WhatsApp or phone. The contract is deemed concluded only after SMART-FIX confirms order receipt. In case of an obvious price error, SMART-FIX is not obligated to sell at the incorrect price; any prepayment will be fully refunded.

5 Price, Payment & Installment

Prices are stated in Georgian Lari (₾) inclusive of VAT. Where "installation included" is stated, the price covers standard installation only. Non-standard work is charged additionally with prior customer consent.

Bank InstallmentWhen purchasing via installment, the payment agreement is concluded between the customer and the bank. The bank is responsible for installment terms; SMART-FIX only provides the goods/services.

6 Delivery, Installation & Acceptance

Delivery is available across Georgia. Installation date is agreed in advance.

AcceptanceUpon completion of installation, SMART-FIX demonstrates proper device operation and the customer confirms acceptance. This confirmation does not limit the legal warranty for defects discovered later.

7 Customer Obligations

For proper installation and operation, the customer ensures: access to the installation site; technical suitability of door/frame; power supply and stable Wi-Fi/internet connection. SMART-FIX is not liable for defects caused by pre-existing conditions of the customer's property.

8 Right of Withdrawal (14 days)

In the case of a distance contract, the customer has the right to withdraw within 14 calendar days. Law, Art. 13

  • Custom solution — goods/configuration created per customer's personal specifications.
  • Fully performed service — if installation/service was fully completed within 14 days with explicit prior consent.
  • Inseparably installed goods that have been merged with another item after delivery.

9 Legal Warranty — Conformity

Key periods
  • Legal warranty period — 2 years from receipt of goods.
  • For defects discovered within 6 months — burden of proof is on SMART-FIX.
  • After 6 months — burden of proof shifts to the customer.

10 Commercial Warranty

Certain products come with additional commercial warranty (e.g. HuTools HT 69 — 24 months). This warranty is a voluntary addition to the legal warranty and does not diminish the rights granted by law.

11 Technical Service & Call-out Fee

As the authorized service partner of ALTA and LOX, SMART-FIX provides installation, setup, configuration, remote management and system updates.

Call-out feeIf a technician visit does not confirm a defect or the issue is caused by the customer, the call-out fee will be charged at the current rate, which is communicated to the customer in advance.

12 Third-party Platforms

Some smart devices operate via third-party applications (e.g. Tuya, Smart Life, Tapo). SMART-FIX is not responsible for the operation of these platforms or their policy changes.

13 Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, SMART-FIX's liability is limited to the value of the relevant goods/services and does not extend to indirect or consequential damages.

14 Force Majeure

SMART-FIX is not liable for failure to perform obligations caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control (natural disasters, epidemics, global energy/internet disruptions).

15 Complaint Procedure

When submitting a complaint, please provide: full name and contact; order number or date; description of the issue. Complaints are reviewed within 10 business days.

16 Dispute Resolution

The parties will attempt to resolve disputes through negotiation. If no agreement is reached, the customer may contact the Competition and Consumer Protection Agency of Georgia or the Georgian courts.

17 Personal Data Protection

We process personal data only for the purposes of order fulfillment, delivery, installation, service and legal obligations, in accordance with the Law of Georgia on Personal Data Protection.

18 Intellectual Property

All website content — trademarks, logo, text, photos and design — is the property of SMART-FIX. Unauthorized use is prohibited.

19 Final Provisions

This policy is governed by Georgian law. SMART-FIX reserves the right to update this policy; updates take effect upon publication on the website.
